Energetic Optimization in Abu Dhabi University

This study has utilized and won the first place in the First Undergraduate Student Research Competition, engineering category over UAE under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Latifa Bint Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, 23rd Apr. 2013.

The aim that we wanted to achieve through this research was basically optimize the consumed energy for lighting Abu Dhabi University which means (using the less to achieve the better). To reach this optimization, we developed alternatives (LED lamps) to replace what is existing (Fluorescent and compact fluorescent lamps); in addition, we suggested other solutions and recommendations (actions and smart light devices). We also created a feasibility study showing a clear image saying in very simple words that: if what we developed and suggested have been applied in ADU, the amount of the consumed electricity with its cost will be less and more efficient than what is currently applied. The influence of this result is not limited to Abu Dhabi university, it will extent to the whole world because less electricity means less burning fossil fuel, less green gases emissions, and less global warming. Let's start having (Green Abu Dhabi University).
